Passengers flying with Frontier or Allegiant Airlines will depart from the South Terminal, a separate terminal that is not accessible from the main Barbara Jordan Terminal at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). It is located at 10000 Logistics Ln., which is accessed by taking US 183 South to Burleson Rd.
Shuttles are available to take passengers from the Barbara Jordan Terminal to the South Terminal during flight operations. They pick up about every 20 minutes. Items lost at the South Terminal will be transported to the main terminal's Lost & Found, and it will take 24 hours to arrive there.
Hours of Operation:

Phone: 512-530-5678 or 512-530-2242. If you leave a message, please leave your name, contact phone number and a brief description of the lost item.

Allegiant and Frontier to Join the Main Barbara Jordan Terminal Starting April 1, 2026
March 31, 2026, will be the final day of operations at the South Terminal.
Beginning April 1, 2026, the South Terminal will officially close, and Allegiant and Frontier flights will begin operating from the Barbara Jordan Terminal.
Same airlines. Same flights. Just one terminal.
Here’s what this means for you, and for the future of AUS:
- Why Is the AUS South Terminal Closing?
-
Once the South Terminal officially ceases operations after March 31, 2026, the structure will be permanently removed to make way for the New Midfield Taxiways project, a key infrastructure addition that supports the continued growth of AUS.
The midfield taxiways are an enabling project within the Journey With AUS expansion program. Completing them allows the airport to move forward with future projects, including the planned new Concourse B and connecting tunnel, which will expand gate capacity and improve connectivity across the airfield.
Simply put, this step helps us prepare for the future of travel in Central Texas.
- What Can Passengers Expect?
-
Starting April 1, 2026:
- All Allegiant and Frontier flights will depart from and arrive at the Barbara Jordan Terminal
- All commercial airlines at AUS will operate under one roof
- Travelers will experience a more unified and streamlined airport experience
If you’re flying Allegiant or Frontier on or after April 1, head directly to the Barbara Jordan Terminal for check-in, security screening, and departure.

-
- March 31, 2026 – Final day of South Terminal operations
- April 1, 2026 – South Terminal officially closed

If your travel falls around these dates, we encourage you to double-check your terminal before arriving at the airport.
- Parking & Shuttle Information
-
We know parking is top of mind for many travelers, and we’ve planned carefully to support a smooth transition.
If you depart from the South Terminal on or before March 31 and park in a South Terminal parking lot, but return after April 1, you will arrive at the Barbara Jordan Terminal.
To assist returning passengers, the ABIA Parking shuttle between the two terminals will continue operating until the South Terminal parking lot has been fully vacated. This ensures you can easily access your vehicle and complete your journey home without added stress.
As we near the closure date, we’ll continue sharing updated parking guidance to help you plan ahead with confidence.
- A Moment of Appreciation
-
Since opening on April 13, 2017, the South Terminal has served millions of travelers and played an important role in AUS’s growth. As we prepare to close this chapter, we do so with gratitude and with excitement for what’s ahead.
Removing the South Terminal enables us to complete the New Midfield Taxiways and advance major expansion projects like the future Concourse B and Tunnel. These improvements will help AUS better serve our community for years to come.
We look forward to welcoming Allegiant and Frontier passengers to the Barbara Jordan Terminal beginning April 1, bringing all AUS airlines together under one roof.
