Alamo Recreation Center offers year-round programming for senior citizens 55 and up as well as contract instructor programs for youth, teens, and adults. Alamo also hosts a toddler sports program, karate, dance programs, and special events. The facility consists of a multipurpose room, computer lab, a kitchen and an office. The park includes a playscape, multi-use field, Gaga pit, and a covered, lighted basketball court.

The Austin Recreation Center offers year round activities, events, and classes for children and adults. Adult programs include American Karate, The Austin Philosophy Discussion Group (APDG), Austin Shotokan Karate, Badminton, Chen-style Tai Chi (Taijiquan), Jazzercise, Kickball, Sahaja Meditation, Scrabble Club, Volleyball, Weavers and Spinners Society of Austin, Weight Room, Writers Group and Yoga. Our Youth Programs include Austin Society of Karate and Dance Associates.

Danny G. McBeth Recreation Center and Annex, located in Zilker Park, provides social opportunities through quality programs that challenge, support and teach leisure skills for the citizens of Austin with differing abilities. Year round programs for youth, teens and adults are offered through our after school explorers, spring break, summer day camps, Good Neighbor Adventure Club and adult enrichment programs.

Delores Duffie Recreation Center and gymnasium offer year round classes, workshops, special events, tournaments, performances, demonstrations.

Dittmar Recreation center promotes individual and community wellness that enhances the quality of life by unleashing the human potential through services and programs that meet the emotional, social and physical needs of the far South Austin community.

The Dottie Jordan Recreation Center offers activities for youth, teens, and senior citizens. The park consists of a multi-use field, a playscape, two-lighted tennis courts, a lighted basketball court, a walking trail, one multi-purpose room, kitchen/computer lab area, a community garden, and a swimming pool.

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s Dove Springs Recreation Center is closed for renovations. The project is anticipated to last approximately 12 months, and the center is scheduled to reopen in early Fall 2019.

The Givens Park is located in East Austin. The Park houses the recreation center, neighborhood swimming pool, pavilion, two lighted tennis courts, playscape, a large picnic area, and two softball fields. Givens Recreation Center consists of a full size gymnasium, meeting/dance room, weight / boxing room, kitchen, and administrative offices.  Givens Recreation Center offers Youth, Teen, Totally Cool Totally Art and Adult Programs as well as Special Events.

Gustavo "Gus" L. Garcia Recreation Center offers youth, teen, adult, and senior adult programs. Programs offered include: The After School Program, Youth Sports Leagues, Teen Programs, Youth and Teen Summer Camp, Adult Exercise Programs, and Senior Programs. The facility is approximately 20,000 square feet and consists of a gymnasium with six basketball goals and a climbing rock wall, a fitness center, public computers, an aerobic/dance room, and three other multi-purpose rooms. The facility also has locker rooms with showers that are accessible to our patrons.

Hancock Recreation Center offers youth programs for ages 3-13 including a Tiny Tot Program, After School Program, camp days, and summer camps for youth and teens. Hancock Recreation sits in the middle of the beautiful Hancock Golf Course. The recreation center features a ballroom with hardwood floors, a kitchen, and three classrooms. Located on the grounds are a basketball court, covered playground, picnic tables and a small sports field.
