Water Wells Program - The City of Austin recently adopted a new ordinance related to water wells. This ordinance includes registration requirements that apply in conjunction with the drilling of water wells, the installation of water well pumps and other closely related activities. Environmental Protection

Austin Water works to ensure a clean drinking water supply while protecting the surrounding environment. We work with our customers to prevent drinking water contamination by non-potable (non-drinking) water and make sure our wastewater is protected from pollutants, responsibly treated and returned to the environment.
