The DAC has been home to local, national and international performing artists since 1978. Bring your next film festival dance recital, live concert or staged performance to our stage and become a part of an Austin tradition. The DAC Theatre is an attractive 150-seat proscenium theatre (3,700 sq. ft) complete with lighting and sound systems, box office and concession areas, dressing rooms, gallery entrance and outdoor marquee.
Through the Performing Artist Residency, the DAC strives to cultivate sustainable arts organizations. During each residency, performing artists will produce innovative events, workshops and public performances at the DAC.

The Generic Ensemble Company makes the invisible visible through bold, socially relevant, body-centered theatre. They view marginal bodies, experiences and subject positions as central to the form and content of creating work an as such strive to promote, foster, and engage performance, writing and ideas of/with people of color, queers, gender queers, women, working class people, immigrants and youth.
Trouble Puppet Theater Company is dedicated to the creation of exceptional works of puppet theater, and to the support of its practitioners. Trouble Puppet digs as deeply as they can into the possibilities that puppetry offers, in its many forms and styles. Their work is inspired not only by artistic passion but by social, political, and human convictions.
Salvage Vanguard Theater is a nonprofit organization that provides accessible, affordable, artistic exchange between a diverse, inclusive community of artists and audiences through high quality experiences that foster experimentation and generate conversation. SVT is committed to producing professional quality work that contributes to the artistic landscape in Austin.
