Mobile Health Vans
The mobile van team is composed of two programs: The African American Quality of Life (AAQL) Van and the Health Connection Van. Each van has nurses and community workers who provide mobile health services. The mission of the mobile health van program is to increase health screenings in minority and under-served neighborhoods. The vans will seek to overcome obstacles, such as inconvenience and expense, that prevent people from being tested. The vans are scheduled for services at community grocery stores, churches, apartments and other points of community congregation. All services of the vans are free of charge.
