The goals of the Austin Animal Services outreach program are to reduce shelter intake from targeted zip codes, provide humane education and prevention-based intervention, and build partnerships through community events, classes, and presentations.

Visit Austin Animal Services at Hampton Branch Library to learn about our various community pet programs and meet some adoptable critters! PLUS, come by our table to claim your FREE engraved pet tag.

Climb for Community @ Austin Bouldering Project Springdale

Gather your friends for a night of community bouldering in support of Austin Animal Services during Austin Bouldering Project's Climb for Community Days in May.
Come by between 5pm and 8pm to meet some adoptable dogs and get a FREE engraved pet tag to bring home to your furry friends!
Kittypalooza Tour @ Yarborough Branch Library

Event Requests
As the community shelter, Austin Animal Services loves to participate in events around the Austin area. Depending on the purpose and logistics of the event, expected attendance, and availability of staff and volunteers, participation may include:
- Informational material and giveaways
- Free pet ID tag engraving
- Free microchips
- Booth with adoptable pets
- Mobile adoption unit
