On May 2, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant is the parking lot security guard at a
. She
was patrolling when she saw someone in her rearview mirror making gestures at her SO she waved
for him to go around her. He was angry that she was driving slowly. He pulled up to her passenger
side and she thought he was going to pull a gun because of how aggressive he was. He got out of
his car with a recording device on him and said, "I'm a cop, I've been recording everything." He
forced her to say her name. She has a contract to work security in the parking lot. She asked him
to leave and he wouldn't. All he had to do was make a turn and leave but he stayed there to harass
and belittle her. The man was driving a white Toyota Highlander with the license plate
The complainant describes him as Indian or Pakistani, 6 feet tall, with a mustache and beard.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
