On September 29, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He has had a situation with his girlfriend who was assaulted in
the past and is a little high-strung. He received an e-mail from a detective stating he was
working on putting them in a program to get them moved. Four or five hours later the cops
showed up at his door with
. They were yelling through the door at her, and
they are laughing. They told them they were calling 911 too much and they need to stop.
But every cop that has come to their home has told them they need to call 911 every time
there is an incident SO it can be documented. APD is pushing his girlfriend over the edge.
It is humiliating and demoralizing, and it shows that there are idiots trying to help.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
