On December 27, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: The officers on my paperwork was officer
. He
was just like my ex I was living with
almost like robots. They were racist
and he was mentally abusing me and bullying me when I called the police several times.
They were laughing at me when they arrived. Making a joke of me. I had nowhere to go
but was finding somewhere. The officers gave me fake numbers to call for help. My ex
was trying to find. Way to get me arrested. He hit my small dog and the day I was arrested
was because I was defending my dogs because he was messing with me and then went in
a closed door with them. I was scared he was going to hurt them and started threatening
him because the police didn't care when he hit them the first time. I should of never been
arrested. I didn't do anything wrong. On my police paperwork it has the wrong address of
arrest and why was I assigned to dui classes when it was an assault. I don't drink. The
charges were dropped but I lost everything. My dogs, my belonging, my job, my car, my
savings. I was homeless. Now that I'm not homeless anymore and not SO broken I want to
fix my background because with the system making decisions with data. This false data
has caused me to have trouble with employment and SO many decisions that were made
based off this. I want it to stop and for the money I spend on fees and getting bailed out
and loss of work and my belongings. I went through SO much and I just want it to stop SO I
can have my life back and be comfortable again. If this town doesn't like me I will move
but I need to know I will be okay and have a home to live in where I go first.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
