Clear the Shelters is a nationwide adoption event led by NBCUniversal and Telemundo-owned stations, designed to connect shelter animals with loving homes and help reduce overcrowding in animal shelters across the country. Austin Animal Center is proud to be a part of this life-saving effort once again in 2025.
Join us Saturday, August 9, as we kick off a weekend of waived adoption fees for hundreds of adoptable pets who are ready to meet their people. Whether you're looking for a playful pup, a cuddly cat, or a chill senior pet to share your couch, we have someone waiting just for you.
All adoption fees will be waived Saturday and Sunday (August 9–10)
Every adoption helps us make room for animals still coming through our doors daily.
All adopted pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going home.
