Training and Lessons

The Aquatics Division offers instructional programs for all ages. A wide variety of swim lessons are available for students ages 6 months to adult. Lifeguard training classes are available for persons 15 years of age and older, while water safety instructor training classes are available for persons 16 years of age or older who wish to apply to work for the Aquatic Division.

Forms & Information

• Class Registration Form
• Full Lifeguard Classes - Must take if you have never been certified as a lifeguard
• Recertification Classes - If you have previously worked for the City of Austin or have previously been certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard
• Water Safety Instructor Class - If you are interested in teaching swim lessons, coaching a swim team or teaching water fitness "aerobic" classes
