UPDATE: APD Seeking Community Assistance in Identifying Persons of Interest in Assault with Deadly Weapon Case
The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for assistance from the public in identifying the individuals in the photos below who are considered persons of interest in the Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon case.
At the scene, Downtown Area Command officers and other assisting officers located four people with gunshot wounds. All were taken to an area hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
PERSONS OF INTEREST:
**A person of interest that had been originally detained in this case was later released. The investigation cleared that individual.**
Anyone with information about this incident such as customers who fled, or other violent crimes, should call the APD Aggravated Assault Unit at (512) 974-4940, Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or use the new Crime Stoppers App. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

On March 20, 2022, at approximately 1:59 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to shots fired in the 400 block of East 6th Street. APD officers and EMS responded to the scene and located multiple victims with minor injuries. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital.
Detectives and crime scene analysts responded to process the scene. According to witness interviews, an altercation began between two groups of people which led to shots being fired in the crowd. An individual related to the shooting is in custody. Due to the ongoing investigation, we are not releasing the name of the arrested person. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
