Austin Animal Services hosts November clinic in North Austin
Austin Animal Services in partnership with Greater Good Charities, will host a FREE, high-volume spay/neuter clinic for cats and dogs November 13–17, 2025, in North Austin. Pets receiving surgery will also get free vaccinations, microchips, and flea/tick prevention to help ensure they return home healthy and protected.
This community clinic provides a simple way for Austin and Travis County pet owners to access essential care while helping prevent animal overpopulation and reduce the number of stray and homeless pets. These services also promote safer neighborhoods by decreasing roaming behavior and unplanned litters.
“As Austin’s municipal shelter, we’re committed to making sure every pet owner—no matter their income or neighborhood—has access to the services that keep pets healthy and communities safe,” said Rolando Fernandez, Interim Director of Animal Services. “By providing free, high-quality spay and neuter care, we’re supporting responsible pet ownership and helping reduce the number of animals entering shelters across Austin and Travis County.”
This is the sixth free spay/neuter clinic in the past year, with another planned for early 2026. The previous five clinics provided surgeries to more than 5,000 pets, and this event aims to serve an additional 1,200.
The clinic will be held at 11580 Stonehollow Dr., Suite 160, Austin, TX 78758. Registration and drop-off begin daily at 6:00 am and continue until 10:00 am or until the schedule is full. Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis so it is recommended that pet owners arrive as early as possible to ensure a space.
Spay and neuter procedures can cost from $75 to several hundred dollars, and appointments often require long waits. This free clinic removes those barriers, providing same-day procedures at no cost to pet owners who live in the City of Austin or Travis County.
