Community Police Academy - Understanding Through Education

The APD Community Police Academy is a fourteen-week program designed to give class participants a working knowledge of the Austin Police Department. The CPA is a unique opportunity for participants to learn more about law enforcement, while fostering relationships between police officers and the community members they serve.
As of December 2019, the CPA has graduated 2,716 community members from 101 classes.
Class 103, Spring 2024
The Spring 2024 CPA will meet on Tuesday evening weekly.
Class schedule:
- Tuesday, February 6, through Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
- No class on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 (Spring break week).
- Class Graduation is Friday, May 17, 2023, at 6:00-7:30 p.m.

The deadline to enroll for Class 103 is Monday, November 27, 2023. This class has 50 spots available and is first come, first serve. Applications will be processed in the order they are received. The application will be closed once the class is filled.
