The City of Austin, the City's Ethics Review Commission and the League of Women Voters Austin Area, sponsor City Council Candidate Forums for city council candidates competing in the upcoming election.

Moderated Candidate Forum

On Thursday, January 6, 2022, the City of Austin sponsored a virtual City Council Candidate Forum for District 4 residents to learn more about the candidates running for the open City Council seat.

The City’s Ethics Review Commission and the League of Women Voters Austin Area hosted the forum for the District 4 City Council seat; the special election will occur on January 25, 2022. There is also a forum being planned in the event of a runoff election. More details to come.

The event was an opportunity for Austinites to listen to candidates express their views so audience members can understand candidates' positions and make an informed voting decision. The candidates will serve the remaining term of the office being vacated.
