Exploring the 1870 Census

Join us on Saturday, February 28, 2026 for another illuminating 4th Saturday Genealogy Seminar!

Finding your family can take time, but it's important to use every record set you can to build your family's timeline. This presentation will cover the importance of working your way back to the 1870 Census on your family tree and how to make the most of what you find on its pages. Bring your questions and let's work together to find your family!

Sarah is a Texas-based genealogist who enjoys bringing ancestors to life with stories, photos, and historical context even if they aren't her ancestors. Her favorite record types are obituaries, city directories, yearbooks, and county tax roles. She volunteers with the Williamson County Genealogical Society.
