The Artist Access Program provides free rehearsal space and low-cost performance space for Austin artists through a competitive process. The program was established by City Council to utilize Hotel Occupancy Tax’s Cultural Arts funds to expand hours at four City-owned cultural centers managed by the Cultural Education & Programs Division.

Applications for the 2026 season opened January 27, 2025 and closed on Friday, April 4, 2025. The 2026 season follows the fiscal year and includes dates between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026. Applications are now closed.
