Dougherty Arts Center

Experience the dynamic environment of Austin’s oldest community arts venue through provocative theater, music and dance performances, intriguing art exhibits, lively Date Nights, and a robust studio arts program for youth and adults. Discover why the Dougherty Arts Center has been the Heart of the Arts in Austin since 1978. We support emerging through established artists by creating opportunities to showcase work and experience art first hand.

Digital Programs

In light of the recent Stay Home-Work Safe Order requiring residents to stay home as much as possible, the DAC is proud to offer free digital programming for the public. Programs will be updated on a weekly basis beginning in early April. 

Stay Creative! Arts and Culture Summer Discovery

Stay Creative

Stay Creative! Arts and Culture Summer Discovery Online Program is an exciting exploration of arts, culture and nature, for children 5 to 12 years of age. Beginning July 6th children can engage in a week of programmed activities exploring new and exciting themes like Intergalactic Planetary and The Force of Nature.  Austin residents can register for one camp opening June 15-19 online at austintexas.gov/parksonline. Lottery Results available beginning June 22.

Artist Resource Center

The Artist Resource Center is a place for emerging and established artists of all mediums to engage and collaborate. Functioning as a no cost meeting and research space for the arts community, the Artist Resource Center offers the tools for creatives to develop and advance their careers in the arts.

Dougherty Arts Center Rentals
