This presentation, led by Austin’s City Arborist,  will help community members and developers better understand the tree protection ordinance and how it applies to them.

Participants will learn how the City’s tree regulations protect our urban forest and ways to help. 

Topics include:
  • What the Land Development Code and Environmental Criteria Manual say about trees
  • How to design a project so that impacted trees will survive
  • Information on permitting, review, and inspection of trees in the development process
