Austin Samba presents 25 Years of Austin Samba: Honoring Jacaré’s Legacy

Saturday, April 18, 2026
7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Austin Samba and its guest performers bring the energy, joy, colors, and rhythms of Brazil to celebrate “25 Years of Austin Samba: Honoring Jacaré’s Legacy.” Founded by Robert Patterson, also known as Jacaré, Austin Samba began with a bold vision to plant the heartbeat of Brazilian samba in Central Texas and build a community rooted in rhythm, culture, and connection. Come experience the music and dance that grew from the history of love, strength, and perseverance of the community. Austin Samba showcases percussion from different regions of Brazil alongside the grace and power of dance, inviting their community to become part of the experience! Austin Samba is part of the Artist Access Program, through the City of Austin’s Austin Arts, Culture, Music, and Entertainment Department and the Dougherty Arts Center.
