The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is investigating the assault and robbery of an elderly man that occurred on Monday, October 5, 2020 at approximately 7:50 a.m. at the King of the Road Car Wash located at 5423 Cameron Road.
The two suspects, pictured and described below, approached the victim who was washing his car, and began striking him. The man fell to the ground. The suspects continued assaulting him as they rummaged through his pockets. Before fleeing on foot with money taken from the victim, the two men also searched the victim’s car for valuables. The suspects were last seen walking northbound on Cameron Road.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
Suspect #1 is described as:
- Black male
- Estimated to be between 20 and 25 years of age
- Approximately 5’9” tall
- Heavy build, roughly 220 lbs.
- Black hair – short on sides, tall on top
- Tattoos on back of each hand
- Last seen wearing blue, yellow and red “Jewel House” zip-up hoodie, blue sweat pants, Nike “Retro 6 Olympic” shoes, long gold chain with pendant
Suspect #2 is described as:
- Black male
- Estimated to be between 20 and 25 years of age
- Approximately 5’6” tall
- Average build, roughly 140 to 150 lbs.
- Last seen wearing black zip-up hoodie, dark grey cargo shorts, black high-top shoes
