The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit needs the public's help identifying two suspects involved in the armed robbery of an individual in the parking lot of 4400 East Ben White Boulevard on July 21, 2023. The victim stopped at a Taqueria located at the East Ben White location. As she was getting into her vehicle, an unidentified black male confronted her with a knife. The suspect took the victim’s purse from her vehicle and got into the rear passenger seat of another vehicle.
Detectives believe the victim may have been targeted after exiting the Bank of America located at 701 East Stassney Lane. The victim reported her bank card was used to make fraudulent purchases 45 minutes later at a Neiman Marcus department store located at the Domain. Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect who used the bank card.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- Black Male
- 30-40 years of age
- Heavy build
- Facial hair
Suspect 1 was last seen wearing:
- Dark zip up long sleeve shirt with a white emblem on the left side
- White t-shirt
- White sweatpants
- Brown multi shade sneakers
