The Austin Police Department is thrilled to facilitate a second round of three community input sessions in the strategic planning process. The strategic plan is a roadmap that will guide our department’s priorities, policy-making, and actions for the next five years. It will communicate our overall direction, forming a logical framework that connects our goals, strategies, and measures, which can be applied to everyday work.
We are once again inviting our Austin community to participate in these open house community input sessions to share concerns and provide feedback that will help shape the future of APD. In June, we collected primary information during our first round of community input sessions facilitated by our community members. For this second round, we would like to dig deeper and present our top five strategic priorities to our community in an open-house format. Joining the meeting to help explain what our Strategic Plan is about the importance of it and why we need our community feedback will be Interim Chief of Police Robin Henderson.
