The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified and arrested 31-year-old Anthony Ryan Lillie for the murder of Travis Ray Clements on Friday, June 11, 2021.
A female called 911 reporting that she had been robbed and shot. APD officers arrived on the scene and discovered two victims, one of them being the 911 caller. The second victim was identified as Travis Ray Clements, the caller’s husband. Travis was unresponsive. APD officers and Austin-Travis County EMS attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful. Travis was pronounced deceased on the scene at 10:29 p.m. The couple had driven to this location along with their three children who were discovered in their vehicle. The children were taken to a family member by crisis counselors. The female victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Homicide investigators and Crime scene technicians were called to the scene to investigate. It was learned through the investigation that the couple had driven to this location to meet with a known subject. During that meeting, shots were fired striking both the victims. The subject left the scene.
The case is still under investigation.
On June 12, 2021, the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office conducted an autopsy on the deceased victim. The cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
On June 15, 2021, Lillie was arrested on a murder warrant with a $100,000 bond.
