On Wednesday, December 2 at 5:32 p.m. Omar Munguia was pronounced deceased at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries from being shot in an altercation on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in the vicinity of E. Riverside and S. Pleasant Valley.
A $1000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) in this case.

APD Seeking Public’s Assistance in Aggravated Assault, Road Rage Incident
Case: 20-3301325
Date: Wednesday, November 25, 2020
Time: 9:11 p.m.
Victim: Hispanic male, 20 years of age
Location: Montopolis Dr./Riverside Dr.
On Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at approximately 9:11 p.m., Austin 911 received a call of a vehicle crash at Montopolis Dr. and Riverside Dr. Officers arrived on scene and found a Hispanic male with critical injuries. Austin-Travis County EMS arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital. Once at the hospital, medical staff discovered that the male had sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. He remains in critical condition.
APD Vehicular Homicide and Homicide detectives both responded to the scene. Witnesses on scene advised that the victim and occupants of a 4-door white sedan had gotten into a road rage incident where multiple shots were fired from the white sedan at the victim’s vehicle while traveling eastbound on Riverside Dr. from Pleasant Valley Rd.
