The victim in this incident, 21-year-old Miranda Gloria Lopez passed away today, December 29, 2020. The investigation is ongoing. Detectives are still canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance videos. We do not have a vehicle description to share at this time and no other information is available.

Deceased: Miranda Gloria Lopez, Hispanic female, born 07/10/99
On December 26, 2020 at approximately 7:07 p.m., Austin 911 received a call of an injured female in the 5500 block of Lark Creek Dr. The caller advised that the woman had been shot during a road rage incident. Officers arrived and located the female being tended to by family members and neighbors. Austin-Travis County EMS also arrived and transported the female to an area hospital. The female is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Austin violent crime night shift detectives and crime scene units began the investigation and learned that the shooting took place in the area of Todd Ln. and S. Pleasant valley Rd. around 7 p.m. Homicide detectives were later called out to assist with the investigation. The exact motive and circumstances of this incident are still being determined. Currently, detectives do not believe the victim knew the shooter(s).
A $1000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s)
