On April 29, 2022, at approximately 2:31 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to the 3400 block of E. 7th St. regarding a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The investigation shows Adam Gaconnet was driving a scooter when a vehicle hit him. Police charged the driver of the vehicle with DWI. Gaconnet died at the scene.
