On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at approximately 7:21 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a GMC Yukon and a bicyclist, Ramon Clemente Nolasco, in the 9000 block of North IH 35 SVRD. Nolasco was riding north on his bicycle along the sidewalk when the Yukon pulled out of a private driveway and hit him. The driver then left the scene without stopping or calling 911. Nolasco was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

- GMC
- Yukon
- Black
- Four-door SUV
The suspect driver is described as:
- Hispanic male
- Heavy set
- Thick, curly, black hair
- He was last seen wearing a construction reflective vest
The suspect passenger is described as:
- Hispanic male
- Heavy set
- He was last seen wearing a construction reflective vest
This incident is being investigated as Austin's 30th fatal crash of 2023, resulting in 30 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2022, 27 fatal crashes resulted in 28 deaths.
