Update: APD has now located and arrested Joshua Trevino for first-degree murder. Members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located him in the 2500 block of New York Dr.
On Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at approximately 2:08 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) 9-1-1 operators received a call about a man, Tony Kelley, bleeding at the bus stop in the 12400 block of N Lamar Blvd. APD Officers and EMS responded to the scene and located Kelley, who had visible trauma. Despite life-saving measures, Kelley died at the scene.
The Travis County Medical Examiner's autopsy determined Kelley died from injuries caused by a sharp object. This incident appears to be isolated, and there's no threat to the public. Trevino is the Travis County Jail. His bond is set at $200,000.
