Arrested: Cesar Lopez, Hispanic male, 21-years-old
On July 28, 2022, an arrest warrant was issued for 1st Degree Murder for Lopez. Members of the Lonestar Fugitive Task Force/Marshal's Office arrested Lopez in the parking lot of 10014 N Lamar Blvd for the murder warrant.

Deceased: Michael Richardson, Black male, born 07/10/1984
On Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at approximately 7:22 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a call of a shooting at a tent behind the InTown Suites located at the 9900 block of N Lamar Blvd. When officers arrived, they encountered a man, Michael Richardson, with several gunshot wounds. EMS arrived and attempted CPR, but Richardson died on the scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to investigate the scene. The preliminary investigation reveals that the shooting started as an argument between two men, which then escalated into a murder.
The Travis County Medical Examiner's office conducted an autopsy, finding the cause of death to be gunshot wounds.
