3CMA 2025 Savvy Award of Excellence Winner
Austin Parks and Recreation received an Award of Excellence recognizing the Davis White Northeast Neighborhood Park Playscape Replacement Project from the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) at the 2025 Savvy Awards during a ceremony at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas on September 4, 2025. The Savvy Awards, presented in conjunction with 3CMA’s Annual Conference, honor outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and community engagement.
“This project is an excellent example of going above and beyond to engage with and listen to your community,” the judges commented. “What could have been a routine playground replacement was turned into an opportunity for engagement, connection and education. The team provided multiple avenues for residents to feel heard and took their input seriously. In doing so, they maintained the character of a beloved park while highlighting important history and creating a playtime experience shaped by the community.”
The 3CMA awards recognize city, county, agency and district professionals who creatively plan and carry out effective communications and marketing initiatives. Entries are judged in multiple population groups to accommodate organizations of all sizes and budgets.
This year, more than 1,100 entries were submitted in 37 categories. Professional communicators from across the United States served as judges, reviewing each entry and providing feedback to winners. A full list of award recipients is available at 3cma.org.
