The Transportation Criteria Manual (TCM) adopted in 2022 called for many new standard details to achieve the safety and multimodal design approaches included in the TCM. The following details are published as interim details in advance of being formally adopted in the rules posting process.
These standard details were created following national best practice in street design and accessibility. They were created with consultation by accessibility specialists to follow the latest Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) and Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) and have been reviewed by Registered Accessibility Specialists.

Details pavement markings including standard abbreviations for use in drawings and details.

Details concrete pedestrian and cycling crossing islands including markings and signage.
- Tactile Directional Indicator
Details use and design of Tactical Directional Indicators used to provide directional guidance for people with visual impairments.
