This Week at Austin Parks and Recreation
We’re excited to share several updates across Austin Parks and Recreation! From new park amenities to improved recreation access, here’s what’s happening this week and beyond.
Golf ATX Weekend Tee Times Move to Online-Only October 27
Starting Monday, October 27, weekend tee time reservations for Golf ATX courses will move to an online-only system. The change helps meet the high demand for our popular public courses.
Golfers can book weekend tee times beginning at 8 p.m. on Mondays for the upcoming Saturday and Sunday using a registered Golf ATX account. Each account can book one tee time for four players. Weekday (Monday–Friday) tee time reservations remain unchanged.
Learn more and book online at GolfATX.org.
Joan Means Khabele Bathhouse at Barton Springs Pool Partially Opens October 28

The Joan Means Khabele Bathhouse at Barton Springs Pool will partially open to the public on Tuesday, October 28. Visitors will be able to use the new restrooms and showers, accessible from the pool side of the building. Pool entry will also move to the east side.
The front parking lot will reopen, except for a small fenced area on the west side where construction continues. The main entry rotunda and west side of the site will remain closed during ongoing work.

Celebrate the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt Ribbon Cutting on November 1

Join us and our partners at Austin Parks Foundation for the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt ribbon cutting on Saturday, November 1, at 9 a.m. The event takes place at 5401 Springdale Rd. and is free and open to the public.
This 206-acre greenbelt now features improved trails, a dog off-leash area, fitness equipment, a climbing boulder, and a community-inspired play area. The project was made possible through support from Austin Parks Foundation, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Shield Ayres Foundation, and the Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation.
We hope to see you there as we celebrate new ways to enjoy and connect with nature in East Austin.
