Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt Trailhead

Join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt on November 1.

Join Austin Parks and Recreation and Austin Parks Foundation at Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt, 6201 Springdale Rd., for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, November 1, at 9 a.m. The celebration is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably for this outdoor event.

Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt is a 206-acre natural area in East Austin’s District 1. The project includes improved trails, fitness equipment, a climbing boulder, a dog off-leash area and a community-inspired play area. The improvements create safer access and new opportunities for outdoor recreation and connection with nature.

The project was made possible through a partnership between Austin Parks and Recreation and Austin Parks Foundation with support from Austin City Limits Music Festival, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Recreational Trails Program, Shield Ayres Foundation and Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation. For more information, visit the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt project page.
