Land Development Rules Notices
Rules posted on or after January 1, 2016
Per the Austin City Code, city departments may adopt 'rules'. Land development rules are contained in the Technical Criteria Manuals to implement, administer, enforce, or comply with the City Code. To adopt or amend a rule, the land development departments must comply with the Rule Posting Process. The process and procedures adhere to Section 1-2 of the City Code. The Land Development Code supports the laws for development, and rules explain the administrative process for complying with those laws.
