Board and commission training will prepare you to carry out the duties of your position as a board member or liaison. If you haven't yet, apply to become a board or commission member.
Modules
All board members are required to complete an in person and online training program. In person training is held monthly. To register for in person training, please contact Board and Commission Coordinators.
The online training consists of the following modules, which can be completed in any order:
- Budget and planning training
- Conflict resolution
- Overview of City government
- Robert’s Rules of Order
- Texas Open Meetings Act
