Register for the DSD Info Series on Caring for Older Homes
Your trusty HVAC limped through another Austin summer. Will it make it through winter? That water heater might be working harder to keep up, too. Overhanging branches and leaves on your roof can also affect how your home holds up during a wildfire. Home maintenance is part of keeping your home safe and healthy, and winter is a great time to tackle these projects. Join Austin Development Services on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. on Zoom for This Old House: Maintenance for Aging Homes, a DSD Info Series session for anyone who owns or cares for an older home.
Our team will walk you through when an HVAC or water heater replacement needs a permit, and how inspections help make sure the work is done safely. You’ll also hear from Austin Fire’s Fire Adapted Communities program. They will share how embers, flames and heat can affect a home during a wildfire, and how to sign up for a free Structure Ignition Zone Evaluation.
Save your spot at PublicInput.com/InfoSeries. We hope to see you there.
