Nature of complaint: Improper Police Procedure
Austin Police Officers Involved: Olson, Kevin AP8218
Unknown:
Complaint:
He works for the city, and he is very disappointed in the police department. He was assaulted by a
male driver who accused him of cutting him off, which was not true. The male driver honked his
horn trying to get his attention and flipped him off. The driver continued to follow him and
continued honking the horn. He felt a tap, and he began to think the guy hit his vehicle. He pulled
over to see if his car was damaged and asked the other driver what he was trying to do. The guy
got out of the car and was aggressive, so he backed off. It seems people here in Austin do not care
about authority. There does not seem to be any law enforcement at all. He could smell marijuana
on the guy and his eyes were bloodshot. He was a former cop in another city, and he knew what
weed smelled like. The guy punched him in the chest a few times and then clocked him on the left
side of his head which he has bruising. His radio was dead and charging and he could not call out.
He pushed the guy out of self-defense at one point trying to get away. At that time, he decided to
call 911 from his phone but he could not find his phone, this whole time the guy was making
comments about taking him out, calling him out of his name, and cursing him out. At that point,
he started to leave but the guy started flagging down random people to vouch for him asking
them to help him out. He was desperate to find someone to vouch for him even though he was
the attacker. The complainant went back to his office and called 911. He did get a call from Officer
Olson who was very rude. The first thing the officer told him was "Yeah, is this the guy that was
out there" and told him he needed his name and date of birth. He asked the officer if he was
coming out and the officer responded "Nope". He told the officer his supervisor was present and
asked if he wanted to talk to him. Officer Olson responded he did not have to talk to anyone. His
supervisor exchanged some words with the officer, but no one ever came out. No one has done
anything. The complainant thinks this needs to be exposed and he is thinking about going to the
media because it was just not right the way he was treated. He spoke to other colleagues who
used to be with APD who told him "Good luck, the city loves to wash their hands when city
employees are involved". How do you do an investigation on the phone? How would you know
who you are talking to? He still has not gotten a police report filed against the person who made
threats to his life. He went to the doctor who is sending him for a CT scan because it may be
permanent damage to his back. This person needs to be charged with aggravated assault. The
police did not want to come to the hospital he went to for his injuries. When they did come to the
hospital, someone showed up in jeans with an attitude. When they were taking pictures of his
injuries one of the officers was telling another officer in a low tone what to take pictures of. It
seemed like a circus the way the whole thing was handled. He got a call from a detective, maybe
Trejo, who asked if he wanted to give a statement. He told her he wanted to file a police report.
Officer Trejo told him that the other person was making a lot of allegations against him. Now he

thinks the whole thing is one-sided. She told him if she was him, she would get an attorney, which
sounded like a threat to him. Now he has to hire an attorney. The attorney he called told him
"That's the city for you and welcome to Austin". Officer Trejo started to compare his incident to a
shooting, and he told her he did not have a weapon. He works as an inspector for the city, and he
does not have anything to defend himself and people do mistake them for police officers. He was
assaulted and no one has filed a report for him at all and everything seems to be one-sided.

Complaint:
She was at a hotel when she was strangled by her ex-boyfriend. The investigating detectives
treated her like she was the violent one. She was taken to jail instead of her ex-boyfriend, but the
courts ruled justice for her because they saw from the videos that she was the victim. It started
on November 28, 2022, and went on to September 2023. Her ex-boyfriend stole her car, and he
was not charged with theft of her car or for unauthorized use. Her debit card was in her vehicle,
and he ran up charges on her debit card. When the homicide detective was talking to her he told
her to shut up. She has severe PTSD from dealing with her ex-boyfriend and that is the way her
ex talked to her, so she told the detective not to talk to her like that. She was not notified that her
vehicle was recovered. Detective Pittman wanted her to send a certified letter and make a
statement so that's what she did. When she went to make the statement but did not complete it
because of the things she was dealing with at the time. She left Detective Pittman three messages
requesting updates on her case and none of her calls were returned. She was told by victim
services that her car was recovered on 10/19 and her ex-boyfriend was arrested on 10/18, but
not for the car and her car was impounded by the police. She told her she would send Detective
Pittman an e-mail to call her. Detective Pittman told her she could pick up the car any time and
that was basically it. She e-mailed him because she had questions about where to get the car and
if they had keys. She was told the car was at Lakewood and they wanted her to pay $700 to get it
out. She was told that she was notified by certified mail, but they did notify her by mail. She
ended up losing her car two days ago. She knows that APD should have called her by phone to let
her know about her car or left a message on her voice mail and if those options were not
available, they would send a certified letter, but they skipped the first option and went to the final
option, sending a certified letter. When Detective Pittman contacted her, she told him she wanted
the fees to be waived because she was not notified. She was told to contact OPO to file a
complaint. She never filed an affidavit with IA due to some issues she was having at that time.
Everything that APD did was under the table. Her civil rights have been violated over and over
again by APD.

He got into an accident and a few things were handled poorly by the responding officer. The
officer would not let him and the other driver exchange information. It was a simple accident
nothing crazy. The officer told him he could get it from the accident report and tried to give him a
card. He wrote everything down on a card, but his handwriting was so poor that he could not
make out half of the stuff he wrote. He is still waiting for the police report. His insurance
company has sent in two different police report requests and has not been able to get one. He has
a CHL. He works for a security company and was in his uniform. He handed the officer his
driver's license and CHL and let him know where the firearm was in the car. At that point, the
officer got extremely paranoid and made him get out of the car and stand on the side of the road
like he was a criminal. It was unbelievable and very unprofessional. The officer's name was
Officer Tunnell.

When 3 APD officers arrived, with the clean-up crew, I was told that I had to pack up and leave. I

I was taking to long. They were going to trash my work uniforms if I didn"t fight for them. I asked
for my tent back and Officer Garvey #6445 replied "no." I had just purchased that tent last week,
it wouldn"t have taken long for me to disassemble the tent and leave the area. I lost a few other
things I purchased also. Officer Garvey #6445 had me standing on the service road with no shoes
on. I feel that this is cruel and unusual punishment for any human.

He was on a Grub Hub delivery when he made a complete stop and made a turn. A police officer
turned his lights on, so he pulled over. He stepped out of the vehicle and advised the officer he
was turning off his engine and he wanted to speak to him outside of his vehicle. At the time the
officer did not tell him he was being arrested or detained. The officer told him no and to get back
inside the vehicle. He advised the officer that under the 4th Amendment he had the right to step
outside of his vehicle to speak to him and the right to lock his vehicle. He got back inside of his
vehicle and put his camcorder outside of the vehicle to record. It was night when the officer
pulled him over and the reason he pulled him over made him leery because It was a dark area.
The officer called for backup. When backup arrived, they drew their guns and told him to step
out of the vehicle. They told him to get on the ground and they handcuffed him. He asked to
speak to a Sergeant. His door was open, and the officers were looking inside of his vehicle. He
told the officers that he had not consented to any type of search of his vehicle. The Corporal came
and the Complainant asked what he did and what all of this was about. The officer advised the
Corporal that he almost ran a stop sign. How does that happen? The officer told the Corporal
that he noticed his taillight was white. They detained him for almost running a light and a
taillight. He thinks it was excessive and his vehicle was searched without his consent. Officer T.
Castonguay was the officer who pulled him over.

could ask any questions. He feels he is getting stiff-armed, and he is frustrated. If this is
happening more broadly and people start to handle these matters on their own that is going to be
a problem for APD moving forward. The police are there for a reason and if people are beating on
kids they need to respond.

The complainant alleges: He has already attempted to contact IA with regard to his complaint, so
this is not the first time he has tried to call regarding his complaint. The incident involved the
killing of his father. His father was a professional and very skilled cyclist and was cycling in the
area when another individual driving an automobile crashed into him injuring him severely and
killing him. The responding APD officer did not render aid to his father but began to console the
driver of the vehicle as his father lay on the side of the road in critical condition. He is the next of
kin and appointed by the courts as his father's legal administrator. Body cam footage shows the
officer not rendering aid to his father. His father was later pronounced dead at an Austin hospital
so he was not legally dead on the scene he should have received aid from the officers prior to the
arrival of the rescue team. The driver of the vehicle was not tested for any impairment and was
allowed by the officer to drive his vehicle, which was not registered or insured in the state of
Texas, with part of his father's remains on the vehicle and leave the scene of the accident without
any citation or any normal standard operating procedure or policies with regards to investigating
deaf by vehicle in the fifty states. The same detective stated in documents that there was no way
to notify the next of kin because there was no identifying information. That was false because
APD was the one who mailed him all of the stuff on his father's person which included a wallet
with a photo ID and his home address where next of kin was located. The department violated
laws, departmental procedures, and policies. That lead detective and the supervisor in that
division e-mailed panic e-mails to him because the process was underway to bury his father in an
unmarked grave because quote-unquote, no one existed that was next of kin, despite the fact that
the wallet with information was on his father's person as he lay on the road suffering from
injuries. The individual who killed his father that APD officers facilitated was not a legal US
citizen, was not here on a work Visa, and had no business being in the US which by policy he was
an illegal immigrant. When an officer contacted him the first thing was "You boys don't need to
get a lawyer this was purely a tragic accident". When he told them that they were not burying his
father in an unmarked grave all hell broke loose because apparently, APD thought his father was
unimportant since he was a transient. APD violated their oath and departmental policies and
procedures. The Attorney General's Office of Texas instructed him to contact APD for remedy and
justice. APD does not have the power or legal authority or any business deciding when his father
is dead or can die. He was not dead on the scene he died later at a hospital. His father could still
be alive if the officers had followed the procedure of common medical response to that type of
situation. The only concern of the officers at the scene was consoling the criminal and ensuring
that she got away before his father was put on a gurney and resuscitative actions were made. The
officers are liable. He is in a state of shock and disbelief that APD has a senior individual who

Complaint:
The complainant and his wife are going through a divorce. He was told by a judge that he was
permitted to go to his marital home and collect his personal property. He was also told he could
do a mental health check on his suicidal son. He called to ask his wife how his son was doing, and
she refused to give him any information and he wanted to collect his personal items, so he went
to the home and knocked on the door. His wife immediately called the police.
Detective Thomas and another Officer showed up. Detective Thomas presented himself as a
Detective and asked the complainant what he was doing at the home. He said he had a right to
enter the property as per the court order, he was just not allowed to live there and that he was
there to pick up some tools and check on his son. Detective Thomas asked him to wait outside
while he went to talk to his wife.
When Detective Thomas returned, he told the complainant that they would like him to leave the
property, and that he was not allowed to be there. The complainant showed Detective Thomas
the court order stating that he was allowed to be there. Detective Thomas said he need to come
at a different time of day.
The complainant asked Detective Thomas if he would still like him to leave the property, at
which point the Detective told him he was being detained. The complainant asked why he was
being detained and said again that he was just there to collect his personal items and check on
his son which he was allowed to do.
Detective Thomas looked at the other Officer and asked him if he detected a code 99, which is a
mental health code, like he was acting crazy. The other Officer said, I will not be a part of this,
and I want nothing to do with what you"re doing." The complainant alleges Detective Thomas
was trying to falsify a mental health code to justify a wrongful arrest.
The complainant did not resist but asked that they at least go conduct wellness check on his son,
as requested, before they left.
Detective Thomas then told the complainant it was probably best if he just left. The complainant
asked if he was being detained and the Detective said no, you"re not being detained, just leave
for now. The complainant left.
A few minutes later he got a phone call from his soon to be ex-wife who put the Detective back
on the phone.
Detective Thomas said he was calling to give him a verbal warning that he was no longer to come
over to this block or come over to the property or he would be arrested for trespassing and
harassment. The complainant said he did have a right to be there. Detective Thomas told him
that if he did show up, he would be arrested on site.

The complainant argued that only a judge has the right to do that, and that he hadn"t done
anything to not be able to get his items and have a wellness check on his son.
The complainant spoke with his lawyer and other people he knew at APD who said what
Detective Thomas did was wrong, and that it was illegal for him to have used the wife"s phone to
issue a verbal warning.
The complainant was also trying to get a wellness check on his daughter and was unable to get
any information from his wife, so he called APD to conduct a wellness check on her. A sergeant
called him back and told him that they were well aware of his ongoing divorce and marital
problems, and refused to be a part of this, that it was a civil matter that needed to be dealt with
directly with his attorney and the courts. He said he had a right to know his daughter"s
whereabouts, but APD refused to help him.
He was told that this is illegal and that his soon to be ex-wife COSTIN and APD are breaking a lot of laws.

On November 1st around 1 in the morning I was awaken by the loud noise of banging and
yelling. It took me a while to get up because I wasn"t sure what was happening until I heard men
yelling saying that they are Austin PD. They were yelling at me to open my bedroom door since it
was locked. I got up as soon as I heard them say, "Open the door" and as soon as I was about to
reach to open it they had kicked it almost hitting my face. They didn"t explain anything and
pushed me out of the hall and apartment even though they knew there were the only two of us
inside of the apartment. Our where about were confirmed by another roommate. I was taken
outside of the apartment where my roommate and cops were already out there. The police had
asked us why we didn"t open the door and we had told them that we were asleep and heard
nothing. They had said "there"s no way" as if we were lying. I told them that I am a deep sleeper,
and it takes a while for me to wake up. A cop who I was not speaking to said "clearly" then I
heard another say "sorry to wake you from your hibernation" which I thought was disrespectful
and unprofessional. I find it unnecessary how they kicked open two of our room doors within
the apartment, the locks on those doors are simple and not secure and could have easily been
picked open. The incidents and destruction of this morning were all based on assumptions.

The Complainant alleges: He requested body cam footage from an APD supervisor. The APD
supervisor spoke to him very disrespectfully. The complainant told the APD supervisor that he
would report him to IAB (or IAD). The APD supervisor talked badly about him to other

not going to give him the body cam footage. APD lied on one of the reports and now the police

bad reputation in Austin. He has all of the dates and report numbers.

Dear Office of Police Oversight,
This complaint is against the APD officer allegedly STALKING me,
- a Straight
Christian Man, early this morning in Rosedale. Details follow.
For at least 10 minutes on Maybelle between 44th and 45th,, from 6:30 AM to 6:40 AM, I was
peacefully sleeping outside on the property of Rosedale Baptist Church, where I, persecuted
Christian, whistleblower, and targeted individual, have permission to take refuge when the
church is closed, while a black and white APD vehicle was parked directly across the street in
Trinity Lutheran Church's empty parking lot, facing me, engine idling. Though guilty cop will
likely claim to have only been staging/resting there, he could and should have done that
elsewhere to NOT watch me like a stalking FAGGOT.
Though he drove away by 6:45 AM, he should NOT have been there then or before because that
area was quiet, and he arrived AFTER I did. Therefore, because APD tracks when and where all
units are at all times, find out how long that APD black and white vehicle was there, ID the guilty
cop, punish him, and tell him NEVER to stalk me again, there or anywhere else. Expect this
complaint to be called out publicly, on TV, on record.
Thanks for your anticipated prompt assistance with this matter.
Respectfully,

He was having dinner with the family and the children were on the other side. His fifteen-year-
old was shot. He did not know the exact location. The officers then said they would talk to the
mom. The mom was not even the real mom-it was his girlfriend. The Officers were
unprofessional. APD just left him outside for more than 30 minutes. Apparently, the complainant
had a warrant and APD handcuffed him and had him waiting for another 45 minutes trying to
determine if there was a warrant for his arrest. An APD Supervisor was called, and he made
things worse. The officers were incompetent. After 45 minutes he was told, "Yes there is a
warrant". The complainant told the officers to allow his girlfriend to be responsible for her son.
The officers handled everything incorrectly and told the girlfriend that the daughter was the only
one who could take his son.

There was a leak in his living room. They came to fix the leak and moved everything out of the
living room. He told them not to worry about the kitchen or the kitchen cabinets. About two
weeks later he went to his apartment to get something from his refrigerator and all of the
cabinets were gone and everything in the cabinets was taken. The apartment complex and its
personnel either threw his stuff away or stole it. He has filed several reports with 311 for theft.
His complaint is that he has not been able to speak to APD. APD has called him at 7 am in the
morning on a Sunday and they are supposed to call between 8 am - 5 pm. He explained to them
that if he is called after 2 pm in the afternoon he is asleep. He cannot get service from APD.
When they leave a message, they need to speak clearly and quit rushing. He has voicemails on his
phone and neither he nor others can understand the messages.

The police arrived very fast. The police searched the guy with the knife. The police were talking
to the guy and the complainant did not understand why. The police could not find a knife. So, the
guy is going to be able to walk around with a knife and the drugs that he showed him. The police
were trying to play therapist with him instead of playing detective. He felt very unsafe with the
police. They should have found the knife and told him that he should not be showing the knife to
people and doing crack on camera, but they did not do any of that. Five APD cars responded, and
they could not find a knife and they were looking at him questioning why he called them. If they
had looked between the two people that were together, they would have found the knife. APD
would rather deal with him getting a gun and anybody who steps to him or shows him a knife-- he
will put them down, because he knows the law. There is no balance.

She is a sexual assault victim suffering from PTSD. The crime took place in 1999. She was
fortunate that there was enough DNA for the person to go to prison for a number of years. When
he got out, he was put on the sexual offender database. She felt concerned that the offender has
always had the same address for the last 6-10 years, which is near a child safety zone that he is
not supposed to be in. She called APD and asked when the last time he was verified. She was told
that APD has not been able to verify him for the last three years. She was concerned so she asked
to speak to the Sergeant. It was not until October 30th that she spoke to Sergeant Campos. When
she told him her concern, he told her they have not been able to do any compliance for the last
several years because they just did not have the bandwidth to do it and APD has had a lot of
defunding, so they have been able to knock on doors. He told her they are just doing the intake
where the offenders come in and provide their information and it is uploaded into the registry.
She asked if the information was qualified for the high-risk offenders and he replied, "No".
Sergeant Campos told her when he started in 2020, they took one hundred offenders and data
that was collected and over two hundred percent of offenders were out of compliance, and they
could not do anything because they did not have the manpower to knock on doors. Yesterday he
called her and said they made a compliance check on her sex offender, and he was not there. She
requested the body cam footage for that visit. The officer said, "So you don't trust us"? She
replied, "No". She called the sex crime unit crying and upset because she wanted to find out why
they were not doing a compliance check. The person with the sex crime unit told her "Ma'am we
are doing 911 calls right now and you want us to do a compliance check"? She accused her of
having an attitude and told her "As I told you, we are busy" and slammed/hung up the phone. She
is not being treated with dignity and fairness.

I rarely express my displeasure and especially with law enforcement but this morning it was
evident that APD does not have control over what is happening in the city. As you know there was
a fatal accident on SH71 in the early hours of the morning, I was headed to the Austin airport at
this time, what I did not know is that APD had shut down the ramp that connects 183 to 71.
Coming from Austin, 183 is one of the three roads that gets you to the airport. With a road closure
of a major highway leading to the Austin airport, I would of assumed that law enforcement would
of been present redirecting traffic and having some control over the situation. Instead, there was
no control of the situation just one single police car blocking the on ramp. As 1000"s of people
are heading to the airport you can imagine all the cars that were now being redirected by their
GPS to get to the airport. As I was redirected again there were no ADP officers in sight trying to
control the 1000"s of cars all trying to get to the airport. Ultimately, I missed my flight and was
redirected through backroads over to 130 to enter the airport, again all these backroads were
backup with 1000"s of cars and no ADP officers in sight controlling the chaos. As I sit in the
airport 4 hours later waiting for a flight that is also 4 hours delayed due to Crew being stuck in
traffic, I find it hard to believe that we have a police department who cannot contain an accident
quickly enough to not interrupt 1000 of other people"s days. This whole situation was caused by
a lack of presence and planning on behalf of the APD. I do not believe I would feel safe in this city
if a mass casualty situation were to occur as I now do not believe that APD would have order. This
city deserves better from APD.

lights engaged while operating electronic devices, then run a red light at a crosswalk in an active
school zone, again with no lights or sirens engaged. But one of your befuddled dingleberries did
exactly that at the Anderson Mill rd and Broadmeade/Turtle Rock intersection while the school
zone was active again. He was in one of the cars you assign to reserve inadequately trained
dumbasses. I don't know how you handle extreme dereliction of duty, but in the Marine Corps we
beat the shit out of offenders until they got in line or fucked off. Remind your collection of turds
what safety is or keep them away from others. These asshats are supposed to protect lives and
property not endanger it themselves. Figure it the fuck out or fuck the fuck off. Buncha twats.
It was this morning Nov 16, 2023 @ 7:40-7:45ish and HE was driving East on Anderson Mill rd. in
a black and white marked APD sedan. The car not the SUV. HE was too busy scowling at me for
honking at him, for not paying attention, that he continued to not pay attention and ran a red light
at a school crosswalk. This is unacceptable. Fuck that guy and his union rep.

He has known his wife's son,
for 10 years and he is the sweetest, nicest guy he
knows.
has a problem keeping a job. He and his girlfriend
are currently
homeless and living out of her car. They do food deliveries to generate income. Two nights ago,
at about 11 pm they were at a 7-Eleven to get something to eat. There were a couple of Hispanic
guys power-washing the sidewalk.

are all doing"? There were some words between them.

white.
girlfriend told the complainant that the Hispanic guy called some friends who
showed up with guns and threatened
and his girlfriend got the hell out of there.
They were driving down the road and the next thing they knew they were being pulled over by
the APD. The police arrested this man because of hearsay. The Hispanic guys claimed
was trying to run over them in the parking lot. He knows this guy would never do such a thing
and he is sure there is a video at the 7-Eleven that will vouch for that. They told
he was
going to jail because he used his vehicle in criminal activity and the car was going to be
impounded. APD had the car impounded and they left the girlfriend on the streets of Austin at
midnight. Yesterday he heard the girlfriend tell his wife that her car was impounded. The
complainant went to get the car out of the Impound, and they had no problem giving the car back.
The reason for impounding the car was a complete lie. What kind of animals work at the police
department; they are thugs. They left this woman on the street at midnight, and he is livid.
is a black man and there are racist cops in this town, and he wants to know what is going
to be done about it. The complainant is going to contact the NAACP and the American Statesman.
He wants to see the officers" faces on TV with numbers under them because it was criminal
activity. APD was just trying to make life difficult for a black man. He thought if someone was in
distress on the side of the road APD would take them somewhere safe, but APD created an unsafe
environment for this woman and left her to deal with it. He can't believe his tax dollars are
paying for thugs, no wonder cops get shot, which he would never do. There are some really bad
and scary cops out there. He wants to know why this happened and APD needs to be
accountable. This was a white woman left on the street, and he is puzzled by that and puzzled as
to why her car was impounded and why APD lied about impounding the car. He has lost complete
respect for the police department.

I pulled into the shell station at 6310 E Ben White Blvd, Austin, TX 78741 and saw a police car
parked in the allotted space that's reserved next to the handicap spots. I feel that this is a great
disrespect to disabled people who may have needed to enter this establishment and would be
unable to get out of their vehicles due to the police officers choice in parking. When I arrived,
there were in fact several spots available, however I'm not sure how many were available when
they arrived. However, it seemed that there were multiple officers on scene, and the one parked
illegally could have moved when one of the many other spots opened up, or even parked next to
the person that they had pulled over. This is unacceptable and a great disrespect to disabled
people in Austin. I'm only able to attach one photo but I have a few SO please reach out to me if
needed.

She was trying to turn into a parking lot. A police vehicle SUV type with the first number was 87,

accused her of not stopping at a stop sign, which the complainant stated is wrong. She felt the
officer was trying to be intimidating. When she asked for his badge number he said he would go
get his card, but drove off instead. This was the Velocity Bank entrance at Southpark meadows.

APD illegally towed her boyfriend's car. It was towed for abandonment while they were visiting
family. There was not a 48-hour notice. The car did not meet abandonment requirements
according to what is listed on the website, and they were parked with the flow of traffic. She is
not sure why the car even got towed. The Austin government dot com website stated that if a car
is claimed abandoned, there would be a sticker posted on the vehicle giving a 48-hour notice and
if the vehicle is in violation after 48 hours, it would be towed, but it was just towed directly off of
the scene. The car was there less than 48 hours, and had no damage to the vehicle or tires, it was
just towed.

Dear Mr Police oversight,
I have just filed the complaint once again and attaching a pdf copy of the document.
Given that the 911 tells me, to resort to my district Representative (Leffler Ben), I am copying
him as well.
You may clearly see, how we citizens are held hostage of you different departments (911, 311 and
city council) pointing to each other and it is not possible to understand, who needs to do what
and when
Have a great thanksgiving, for those who have the peace of mind to celebrate it today.
I see the report form is anonymous but I see no reason for this to be.

He was driving north on Mopac, and he noticed an officer was straddling the second and third

To whom it may concern,
I am writing on behalf of St. Davids South Austin Medical Center of the DAVID SECTOR. Over the
last 2 weeks response to our facility has been delayed for hours. On a day to day basis, our
security deals with all sort of mental health, trauma, & transit"s populations. We need APD"s
support to conclude some of these incidents. We are not calling for every incident as we handle
majority of incidents in house. However when an arrest takes place we need assistance in a
timely manor. We don"t have the means to keep an individual detained. A timely response would
also reduce the health risks associated while being detained as time increases.
Today a call was placed at 0920hrs for a subject who was actively trying to steal a vehicle. Our
security was able to detain this individual. This individual is still in our custody as without an
APD response as I write this email at 1140hrs.
The hospital accommodates APD in every way possible and we would like the actions
reciprocated. We can have a meeting to discuss these opportunities. I look forward to a better
collaborated effort.
Thank you for your time in advance,

APD officers claim exigent circumstances after standing in a doorway for 20 minutes. The mental
gymnastics involved here to say that this forced entry was for the wellfare of this guy"s non-
existent wife, then they switch to "stop hurting your child" after they force entry. The worst
officer here was the sergeant who came in hopped up with zero ability to de-escalate. He seems
like he spends too much time on SWAT training and not enough on de-escalation. Then officers
followed the resident from his house the next day.
Tyrants.
