The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in connection to Robbery.

On Friday, February 7, 2025, at 3:50 p.m. the suspect entered the Metro PCS by T-Mobile store and requested information about several Bluetooth speakers. The employees recognized the suspect, as he had shoplifted several Bluetooth speakers in November of 2024 from that same business. The suspect again attempted to steal numerous Bluetooth speakers, taking several display hangers of speakers from the wall display. When the suspect discovered that an employee was standing between him and the front door, the suspect shoved the employee, and struck her with the merchandise, causing her pain, and minor visible injuries.

The suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen running eastbound on W. William Cannon Drive toward S. 1st Street.

The suspect is described as:

  • White male
  • 30-40 years of age
  • Approximately 5’10” tall
  • Thin build
  • Dirty blonde hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Beard
  • Possibly homeless
  • He was last seen wearing a green polo shirt, black baseball hat with a black Puma logo, black pants, covid mask, and dark colored sneakers with white soles.
