AUSTIN, TX – Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) has earned International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification, a global standard for quality management. This certification highlights the department’s commitment to providing customers with reliable and efficient services.
ISO 9001 certification is awarded to organizations that focus on customer needs, manage risks, and continually improve their operations.
ARR received the certification after an independent audit by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI). The audit reviewed many areas within the department, including daily operations, employee training, performance tracking and customer satisfaction.
Auditors confirmed that the department meets high-quality standards for trash, recycling, and composting collection, as well as other resource recovery services. They also noted ARR’s efforts to reduce risks, improve efficiency, and keep customers satisfied.
“I am very proud of our team,” said ARR Director Richard McHale. "This certification is a major milestone for our organization. Quality isn’t just a standard—it’s our daily promise to our customers.”
ARR will maintain ISO 9001 certification through ongoing monitoring and regular audits to ensure continued compliance with quality standards.
