Suspect (Arrested):    Quavone Easley, Black male, 30 years of age



On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:21 p.m., Austin Police (APD) Officers responded to a Shoot/Stab Hotshot call in the 11900 block of N. IH-35 SVRD SB. The call text advised the victim had been shot in the head and the suspects had left the scene. The victim, who remains unidentified at this time, was pronounced deceased on the scene at 11:29 p.m.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation showed that Quavone Easley had confronted the victim about stealing his bicycle, then shot the victim in the head. He then fled the scene.

A 1st Degree Murder warrant was issued for Quavone Easley. Hours later, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located and arrested him for the murder warrant.
