Deceased:  Quinton Arnold, Black male, 05/23/1988

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 3:11 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a call reporting a shooting at the 7-Eleven located at 1822 Rutland Drive. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a male on the ground in the parking lot next to his vehicle who had been shot. The victim, identified as Quinton Arnold, was pronounced deceased at 4:19 a.m.
 
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The preliminary investigation showed that Mr. Arnold was standing outside of the 7-Eleven when a suspect vehicle pulled up, opened fire on him, struck him, and fled the scene.
