City of Austin’s Grow Green Program Unveils Exciting Educational Resources for Local Gardeners

Austin, TX - As the warmth of spring beckons, the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department’s Grow Green program announces its latest educational resources, empowering gardeners with sustainable practices and expert advice. With a commitment to sustainable gardening practices and environmental stewardship, Grow Green’s offerings promise to inspire, educate, and equip seasoned enthusiasts and budding green thumbs alike. 


The Grow Green program has long been a cornerstone of the city’s environmental initiatives. The program’s educational resources include: 

  • 23 Grow Green fact sheets on big-picture and pest-related topics
  • Rebates, free stuff, and grants to help your garden grow
  • Landscape design, installation, & maintenance information, including demonstration gardens and design templates
  • Native & Adapted Plant Guide for Central Texas
  • List of Grow Green landscape professionals who have completed the training series
  • Pest information (integrated pest management)
  • Drainage solutions

El programa Grow Green de la Ciudad de Austin revela excelentes recursos educativos para jardineros locales

 

Austin, TX - Con el calor de la primavera acercándose, el programa Grow Green del Departamento de Protección de Cuencas de la Ciudad de Austin anuncia sus recursos educativos más recientes que ofrecen a los amantes de la jardinería prácticas sostenibles y asesoría experta. Comprometidos con prácticas de jardinería sostenible y responsabilidad ambiental, los recursos de Grow Green prometen inspirar, educar y equipar tanto a entusiastas experimentados como a aquellos que comienzan sus primeros pasos en el mundo de la jardinería.

 

El programa Grow Green ha sido por mucho tiempo la piedra angular de las iniciativas ambientales de la ciudad. Los recursos educativos del programa incluyen:
