On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:44 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash involving two motorcycles in the 10500 block of S IH 35 NB.  One of the motorcyclists was pronounced deceased on scene. The other motorcyclist remained on scene, was not injured, and is cooperating with the investigation.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 27th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 31 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, 24 fatal crashes resulted in 24 deaths.
