Suspect: Troy Lee Tanksley, Black male, 17 years of age
UPDATE: The APD Aggravated Assault Unit identified Troy Lee Tanksley as a suspect in connection to the shooting.
On July 14, 2025, the Aggravated Assault unit, along with the help of the APD Gang Suppression Unit took Tanskley into custody for an unrelated outstanding violent crime arrest warrant.
The Aggravated Assault Unit later filed an arrest warrant on Tanksley for Aggravated Assault Mass Shooting 1st Degree Felony for the Lit Lounge shooting investigation and took custody of the suspect, who was booked into the Travis County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Austin Police Department (APD) Aggravated Assault Unit Detectives are requesting anyone in possession of videos or photos of Lit Lounge on Sunday, March 30, 2025, around 1 a.m., to please submit them by scanning the QR code with a smart phone or by clicking on the link above.
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, at approximately 1:02 a.m., APD officers and Counter Assault Strike Team (CAST) personnel responded to a shooting at Lit Lounge, located at 215 E. 6th Street. Officers arrived on the scene and located four individuals with gunshot wounds who confirmed they were shot while inside Lit Lounge.
The APD Aggravated Assault Unit continues to investigate this incident.
