The Dick Nichols and Beckett Meadows Pond Rehabilitation project will rehabilitate two existing water quality ponds, a retention pond at Dick Nichols District Park and a wet pond behind the Oak Hill Library/Beckett Meadows in the Williamson Creek Watershed.

- Regrading the existing ponds
- Installing new pond liners
- Installing a small dewatering pump station with a wet well at Dick Nichols Park and associated electrical work
- Installation of an above ground diffuser to distribute treated water to a disposal field at Dick Nichols Park

Timeline
Our capital improvement projects take many years from start to finish. The process typically includes the following phases:
- Preliminary Engineering – when a solution is identified and costs are estimated.
- Design – when the details are worked out and construction plans drawn up.
- Permitting and Bidding – when a contractor is hired and all permits are acquired.
- Construction – when the project is built.
The project is currently in the permitting phase. Construction is anticipated to occur from fall 2024 through spring 2025.
