The APD Domestic Violence Unit improves access to law enforcement, counseling, crisis management, and legal services for survivors of domestic violence and their children, and is a collaborative, community response to family and dating violence. We hope to increase batterer accountability, empower survivors to lead violence-free lives, and lead the community's zero-tolerance policy toward family and dating violence.

APD Domestic Violence Awareness Session

The Austin Police Department’s (APD) Domestic Violence Unit will host an interactive session on June 3, 2025, at the Austin Public Library, Ruiz Branch, 1600 Grove Blvd., to discuss all aspects of domestic violence.
