On Sunday, May 11, 2025, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash involving an SUV and a Van in the 600 block of E. Koenig Lane. The driver of the SUV, later identified as Rodney Bremby, rear-ended the van. The driver of the van, later identified as Marvin Taylor, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bremby was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 28th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 32 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, 26 fatal crashes resulted in 26 deaths.
