Suspect (Arrested): Eloy Adrian Camarillo, 17 years of age
On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Austin Police Department (APD) homicide detectives arrested Eloy Adrian Camarillo in connection with the murder of Jaime White. Camarillo was charged with Capital Murder.

Eyewitness statement, in addition to surveillance camera video, assisted in leading to the arrest of Eloy Camarillo. Your willingness to come forward with information played a critical role in ensuring justice and maintaining the safety of our neighborhoods.

Victim (Deceased): Jamie White, White male, 07/13/1988
On Sunday, March 9, 2025, at approximately 11:56 p.m., the Austin Police Department (APD) responded to the call of a shooting at the Chandelier Apartments located at 2336 Douglas Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they located one victim, later identified as Jamie White, lying on the ground in the parking lot with apparent trauma to his body. White was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 12:19 a.m. on March 10, 2025.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The initial investigation shows that White was shot and killed in the parking lot of the apartment complex in which he lived. The suspects then fled the scene. Detectives believe the suspects were possibly burglarizing White’s vehicle, when he interrupted them.
Detectives are encouraging anyone in the area who may have had their vehicle burglarized that night, to come forward so APD can further investigate. If anyone has additional photos, videos, or potential evidence, please submit them by clicking here or scanning the QR code below.
