The Land Use and Real Estate Division provides legal advice, legislative drafting, transactional and contractual assistance on issues related to land use, housing, real estate, permitting and development, parks, and animal services. The attorneys in the division also provide legal support to the Planning Commission, Zoning and Platting Commission, Board of Adjustment, Building and Standards Commission, and the Historic Landmark Commission.
Trish Link is the Land Use and Real Estate Division Chief. Trish started with the City of Austin Law Department in 2005 as a municipal court prosecutor and since that time has worked in the Litigation, Land Use and Real Estate, General Counsel, and Municipal Operations divisions. She was designated an International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) Fellow in 2020.
